Graduate having made an eternal impact.

College isn't a waiting room for real life. It's a mission field, and these are some of the most strategic years you'll ever live. Making College Count shows you how to spend them on purpose.

Why did you really go to college?

For most students the honest answer is some version of the American Dream: a good degree, a good job, a comfortable life. Nobody sets out to drift. It happens one semester at a time, until you look up and wonder whether you already missed your shot.

However long you're here, you don't get this time back.

These years are meant for something far greater than a resume.

If any of this sounds familiar

Thirteen chapters take these one at a time: mission, parents, friendships, dating and singleness, the local church, study, money, time, holiness, prayer, and the Bible. Each one ends somewhere you can actually start.

Ricky Bailey

He's had this conversation before

Ricky has spent his adult life in college ministry, first on campus and then in the local church. Mostly that has meant long conversations with students working through the same things you're working through, usually later at night than either of them planned.

He isn't writing this from a stage. He wrote it for the freshmen he keeps meeting who are underwater by October and can't see what any of it has to do with following Jesus, and for the seniors who tell him they wish somebody had said something sooner.

Ricky and his wife live in East Tennessee, where they're raising their growing family and watching The Office on repeat because they can't agree on anything else.

Making College Count will challenge you to live intentionally for the glory of God during this once in a lifetime opportunity to grow and make an impact. Grab a few friends, read it slowly and make plans to apply it to your life!

Paul Worcester National Collegiate Director, North American Mission Board. Author, The Fuel and The Flame: Igniting Your Life and Your Campus for Jesus Christ

Making College Count will both instruct and encourage the Christ follower who sees the university campus as a mission field to make disciples and impact fellow students for eternity. Ricky gets it. Life is all about the King and advancing His Kingdom. This book will help you do just that.
